ugh..strikes! I've had enough now to last me a lifetime!
Just read about this as well ... I thought after home delivery was re-instated there wouldn't have been much left to be concerned about from their perspective. Guess they still feel there is ... I hate when this happens, hope it can be resolved.
Katie:
Home delivery was not re-instated. The Liberals said in the election that they would "study" it. They have. They have decided to "let Canada Post decide how they should best handle home delivery". CUPW is making some pretty loud noises.

Fair enough, my mom still gets her mail from a box as she was one the first 'converted', so I should not have used the re-instated terminology. Wonder if they will keep it that way? If the decision is left to CP, I'm guessing CUPW/CP will vote to keep home delivery.
I love getting mail so I'm hopeful this can be averted.
Has something to do with a wage freeze and pension roll back...I believe....
The last I heard was CUPW members are expected to have a strike vote sometime in June. Prior to that I heard that Canada Post was talking of a lock out on July 1st.
Mail disruption feared as Canada Post lockout looms....
