Do they include a picture with their description?

I believe that the stamp you seek is Scott 2286 or Michel 2198.
A Lithuanian seller is currently offering a MNH copy on ebay (Item No. 361484885952).
Here is an image of that stamp.
Thanks for that number, Steve. Buffalo, there's nearly always a picture, but in this case the recess one looks very like the litho one.
There was a Delcampe dealer who had what I am fairly sure was the right one, but it had an unexplained splodge near the country name and looked expensive for that.
I sympathise.
There are collectors and dealers in all countries who refuse to admit that this is a truly international hobby, and they insist that "their" national catalogue is the standard to which everyone adheres.
To maximise their potential targets they should include a FULL description of the stamp together with as many catalogue references as they can find.
It is the same with discussion boards. I visit boards which are based in several different countries, and are very home-centric in their content and approach. However all these boards have a sizeable international membership with very diverse interests. If people asking for information limit their references to the "home" standards then they are in effect refusing to tap in to the international contingent's knowledge.
I have said this before and I make no excuse for saying it again - we are all willing to help but unless we are clear what you are talking about we are as in the dark as the person asking the question. You may think I am sniping at members here and Scott references. Actually I am (!) but you are not alone. I may as well be talking about France and Dally,Germany Michel,Facit Scandinavia, Gibbons Commonwealth, Brusden-White Australia or Campbell-Patterson New Zealand. All these catalogues have stronger and weaker points and subjects vis-or-vis the others. The information in all these catalogues is probably available somewhere within the membership here, and that elusive bit of information you are seeking might be accessible to someone.

...You know, most of "modern" dealers don't have patience to spend time and make identification for one stamp on "want-list" base, and "old timer" dealers are gone, so....
When someone ask for specific single stamp, "by description" only, that will be ignored by most sellers on eBay, Delcampe, or other "web" sellers!
I can just suggest You, when asking for specific item/s, to be very precise in description.
This one You mentioned, is from 1958 year, Zagorsky catalog (yes,"local" catalog), number 2132 (from set of 3 stamps, 2132-34), line perf. 12 1/2.
You have another "reprint" from 1959, perf. 12 x 12 1/2, under Zagorsky catalog number 2226-29.(set of 4 stamps, offset print).
Now, it will be very hard to sell this stamps, for simple reason, that postage cost are so high today, that no one will be able to pay for.
I, personally, don't have it in store, even that it is not problem to obtain it from Moscow, but again, postage cost will "kill" any possible deal.
best regards
Milco
apart from web sales, you should post to trading sites ... there are some expert collectors who may assist.
generally, I base my collections on country of origin ... e.g. japan JSCA specialised catalog
germany - michel specialised; etc
rising postage fees are affecting all transactions
Some dealers just don't want you to buy, do they?
Here's a mint stamp I'd want: it's not particularly distinguished, a tiny picture of a solid Russian farm girl. It is Russia, 20k olive, issued 10th February 1959, printed in recess, with perfs 12.5 all round, SG number 2250.
Given the country, that makes five separate specifications. Lots to identify it with, then. Or so you'd think.
No. Let's discount the SG number first. No dealer deals in SG numbers (except UK dealers, and believe me, there are none of those with this stamp on their books. Not one. The one who claimed to have a 2250 sent me a 2252a. Same colour, same denomination, same pic, different in every other respect.).
We can discount the date, too. The set from which this stamp comes was issued on four separate dates, from 1958 to 1960. That's enough to confuse and mislead our dealer friends.
When it comes to perforations and printing processes, most dealers don't bother. They give you the Michel numbers, or the Yvert numbers (some may even give you the Scott numbers). They don't bother with stuff like perfs and processes. Why would they?
Result: if you don't know the number, don't buy from us. Wise up, sonny boy, get yourself a Michel catalogue. Then we can do business.
(All references to 'dealers' above refer to people on Delcampe. Are they actually dealers? I don't know. They have funny nicknames which serves to confuse the matter more.)
If anyone can identify the Michel number of this stamp from the data above, do get in touch. If anyone (ha ha!) actually has this stamp for sale, do send it on, with invoice. Current SG catalogue price at mint is £19. That'll shut me up!
