The color reproduction in the Scott catalogs is not always accurate -- sometimes quite a bit off. So never rely on the picture in the Scott catalog for color accuracy.
Same holds true for stamp albums with color illustrations.
Thanks for the help. Good to no I not color blind
Actually, the block you showed is a little off from "normal", but that could be an artifact of how you took the pic. This issue is known for color registration problems and color inconsistencies. In your pic, the Intrepid (left) is darker than what I typically see, and the balloon with the blue "Vs" in the bottom stamp has the bottom part of the V lighter than what I normally see. It's to be expected for this stamp. The color mis-registrations on this issue are usually more interesting (to me).
I have a question, about the BALLOON stamp?
I’m working with 2013 Scott’s Catalogue of the United States. From my local library, the new 2016 are not in yet
The question is about their Stamps’
Scott # 2022- and 2034- -on page 173 in the catalogue.
To me the colors are off.
But the catalogue does not show it. Or am I color blind
