You won't find them in Scott's for sure.....
Bhutan didn't issue many airmail......
Michel does list them. They are a part of a set of 8, 4 regular, 4 airmail. (The value you're missing in the airmails in the 4 Nu.)
I'm working from a copy about 4 years old. The values are:
3 Nu: €2.00
5 Nu: €3.00
6 Nu: €6.00
That's for either mint or used.
The catalog numbers are, for the set: Mi 428-435
Your particular ones are 432, 434, 435.
And they were issued Feb 27, 1971.
Hope that helps!
It is threads like this that makes Stamporama such a joy, short and to the point. I have to quit the previous thread I was reading, it was giving me a headache!
Actually they are listed in Scott.
Scott in its infinite wisdom and knack for creating inconsistencies has combined multipurpose stamps all together as one set in a large number of countries. You can often find a set comprised of regular postage, semi-postal and air mail stamps. Of course you have to flip back and forth trying to figure out when a set is combined and when the stamps are in separate categories. Just absolutely ridiculous.
Any how, these stamps are Bhutan Scott #126D ($4.75), 126F ($7.75) and 126G ($5.75). Values are for MNH and from Scott 2015. A note after the set does identify #126D - 126G as airmail.
"Actually they are listed in Scott"
The stamps were also issued in mini sheets of 4.
"Looking for this Bhutan set is as bad as trying to figure out the Paraguay section of Scotts"
I've Googled eBay, etc. for the rest of the set I have missing and I'm also interested in the 2 mini sheets shown here. Any idea where I can find them, please?
I found 3 stamps from Bhutan that were part of a set I collected "way back when..". They are part of a larger set of sculptured stamps. They are beautifully embossed vinyl-like stamps. I'd like to find the year they were issued and where I can locate them in an online catalog. I've already tried Google w/o success. Any ideas?
