A couple of interesting topicals, musicman. I'd think that Japan would have quite a few baseball related stamps.
WB
WB,
I would think so, too.
However, I have not come across many from there as yet.
Still lookin'!
What I would REALLY like is to find that 1989 St. Vincent $5 All-Star lineup stamp!
Musicman, three questions to which (as a primarily topical collector) I am interested to find out answers:
1. Do you make up a list of baseball/cheetah stamps from your catalogue, so that you can tick them off when you buy them, or do you just acquire them as and when available? (I notice that the ATA have a baseball list but not one on cheetahs.)
2. Do you custom-make pages for either collection, or simply store them on Vario pages or similar?
3. Does either collection feature non-philatelic material, such as postcards, tickets, etc.?
don't know if you use it or not, but there is one of those (St. Vincent 1989 All-Star roster) on delCampe. reasonably priced (2.24 euro), but postage is a kicker (6.00 euro).
btw, St. Vincent has quite a bit of baseball items.
Thanks, SD - I'll check it out!
Funny, when looking at your subject line, I was thinking that Cheetahs, were Alex Rodriguez, David Oritz, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa etc...
I am turning into a Met's fan due to proximity mostly. Their spring training field is one block from my house. The St. Lucie Mets are our local team and their games are super cheap to attend and downright fun. A big bunch of folks from my neighborhood (many of whom are Jersey and NY refugees) gather in the stands and have fun drinking beer and munching on hot dogs. Can't wait - spring training is very close and we always try to catch the Mets vs Tigers game.
Theresa....are you a bleacher bum?

Bob (Parkin);
You got THAT right....!
Theresa;
That would be a load of fun! You'd get to the guys from "back home!"
Save me a ticket stub!! And have a hot dog for me!!
Let's Go Mets!!! We have the Dark Knight, the Degrominator and Thor. I know there are no guarantees but this is my most anticipated baseball seasons in a very long time.
Bob,
You're right;
the Mets are considered a viable team for the World Series this year.
Surprisingly, the team at the top of the list is.....drum roll please.....
THE CHICAGO CUBS!
I really think this is going to be an interesting season, considering all the well-rounded teams this year.
Barring injuries, as always!
The headline in our local paper is all about the impact of the Met's success on our little town. We rode our bikes passed the park yesterday and there were lots of folks around trying to get a peek at the players practicing. It's exciting being so near to the action.
Sorry everyone -
I get to talking baseball and I probably won't shut up....
....better stop me now!
Yea Cubies....Go Chicago....

I am a member of the Cats on Stamps Study Unit. I collect domestic cats on stamps. I will check the wildcats section to see if there were any cheetah stamps issued in the last year. I'll report back in a few days... I'm the auctioneer for Sparks Auctions and we have another day of me calling the auction.

Thanks, David;
I look forward to hearing from you!
Just rode bikes passed the ballpark and I've never seen the parking lots so crammed. Today is the Met's vs Marlins game.
Theresa, March 11 should be a crazy day at the park. Major League Baseball and Snapchat have teamed up for Snapchat Day. Players will be allowed to send out Snapchat messages during the game.
More: MLB will allow players . . .
Hi All,
90% of what I collect is by country, however I have 2 topicals that I collect as well (well, 3 if you count machins);
Baseball and cheetahs
Both of which have not seen any new additions in quite a while.
So -
if anyone has cheetahs on stamps, I might be interested in a trade or purchase depending on what you have and what you want.
As far as baseball, I have every US issue related to baseball, but I know there are many other countries that have issued baseball on stamps, especially many Central American countries. I'd be interested in buying or trading for these as well.
Or maybe this will give some sellers some ideas for the auction/approvals.
(**funny, isn't it? I LOVE baseball and support the Tigers, but I don't collect tigers on stamps - just cheetahs....never gave that much thought 'til now! )
