I'm a newbie on this forum and I'm hoping I'm not asking any stupid questions here. I am curious: Browsing thru my U.S. stamp collection, I came across 3 stamps I'd like to have ID'd. The first is a 13 cent coil with perforation errors. Does it have any value? What about the 1 cent Washington and what was the use for the "for testing purposes only" stamp. Is that a postage stamp. I appreciate any replies to my questions

re: Do these have any value?

No question is stupid.

Value is relative.

The mis-perfed coil will be considered by many to be a freak rather than an error as the mis-registration of the perfs is not extreme enough. Value? Yes it will hold a higher value than a regular stamp, but you didn't win the lottery.

The coil test stamps are used to test coil dispensing devices. It is not valid for postage. The one you have is relatively common.

The Washington stamp is supposed to be green. Did you drop the color on the scan? Anyway, it is also on the common side, and its poor centering doesn't help the value either.

While not greatly valuable, those oddities add a lot of fun and interest to a collection. Thanks for sharing the pics.
