Well you have something that may be unrecorded here. The missing gold 'Queen's head' has seemingly only been found on the 5d of the same set.
The 1s 6d (SG840) you show is only known with missing embossing (Queen's head) or missing phosphor.
The 5d with missing gold is SG839a and is listed at £3,500 (2015) used. It would seem that no mint copies have been found, as no price is stated.
This will need further investigation by you.
Wow! This could possibly be quite a find. Please do let us know what you discover!
Sorry. Without the queen's head on it, that stamp is worthless. I'll take it off your hands for a nickel, and that's only because I'm in a good mood. (Just kidding, of course.)
Ted
Be careful. The queen's head can be removed through chemical means. They can test the paper for that. Now, I do hope you caught a BIG fish instead!
Here's mine.
thank you all for your responces once i know more about it i will post it onto here and update you all
Guthrum,
Have you tried to get yours expertised?
