Nice Find, Michael! Isn't is a hoot to find a variety, fault, whatever - like finding treasure! Part of what makes stamp collecting so much fun. You never know what you'll find next, and the more you learn, the more easily you catch the unusual.
It sure is part of the fun.
Not so long ago, I'd have looked at that stamp and said, "awww...man"!
But after hanging around SOR for awhile, I now see that stamp and say, "awww...some"!
Amazing what a little education can do for a person!
Hooda thunkit?

LOL. "Awesome" is what my son said when I gave the stamp to him last night.
If I was a betting man, I'd bet when he said it, he was talking about you as much as he was the stamp.

Thank you.
In my finally going through all the stamps piled up here for up to 20 years, I started at "A", and am now at Russia. I had a small packet of Russian air mail Zeppelins. I don't even know when i got them, but it has to be around ten years ago. The last stamp I took out of the packet was this one:
At first I thought it was a paper scrape. Then I saw that it is a nice, 1/8 inch paper fold created during printing.
My son semi-specializes in Russia. I think he'll be most happy to add this one to his collection.
