There are several other Austrian newspaper stamps with different depictions of Mercury.
The country name is not incorporated as these were purely for inland postage.

I really appreciate the help from more experienced collectors in identifying several stamps of unknown origin in my collection. Well, here is another anomolie for me and I am kind of stumped. Could someone provide some information on this stamp? The clues I found pointed me to an early Swiss or possible Swedish issue. Ideas?
