It's too late unless hey explain what a "Stamp" is and were to put it.
Also, they'll have to be sure that the clerks have stamps (whatever those are) in their drawers.
Also educate the clerks not to deface the stamps on the envelopes with the magic markers they are so enamored with!

I stopped my my post office (well the one nearest where I work) on my way home yesterday. I explained I would like real stamps because it was being sent to a collector. He happily applied stamps by hand and hand cancelled each of them.
In my book it don't get much better than that.
I was in the post office today, and saw that it is running an "Add a Stamp" promotion. The idea is for someone to buy a stamp and use it in mailing to personalize the envelope. Great idea!
