USSR is 90% finished into Varios. Hard to believe that I've managed to do it. So now I have to organise the s/s and go back through and find the missing stamps and see what I have that I've bought/traded. Maybe I can finish the collection??
I've already got some ideas on how to create my Empire and USSR album pages. I'm so excited. This is the first time in almost 3 years that I've actually spent any productive time working on my collection and I'm quite pleased with myself.
After everything I've been through, it's nice to have some kind of organisation and fulfillment.
Always a great feeling of satisfaction to get something like that accomplished, isn't it?!?

Oh yeah! No better feeling than seeing everything all laid out like that. Although the next step of actually creating album pages and making it perfect - that's a lifetime experience. I'm glad my collection is limited in its scope.
Congrats! Russia can be an overwhelming country due to the number of stamps produced. When I saw your post a couple days ago it reminded me that I needed to finish scanning the rest of my Russian pages. Until then it ended at the prized Hotel Set of 1950 with a page count of 114. Since then I have scanned another 148 pages reaching year 1965. I am scanning as I write this and find myself about 1/3 of the way through the second volume of three. So it appears I am close to being half done and will total over 500 pages when finished. Hopefully I can keep at it and finish by early next week. The collection is virtually complete at 99.7% through 1990 so nearly every stamp printed will be shown.
I'm sorry I will not have got it done in time for you to utilize it as I'm sure you will have found it much easier to refernce than StampWorld
Thanks Mitch - I look forward to seeing yours. I still have more to go through to see what blanks actually exist but my Empire and USSR (I don't collect post-USSR)is about 99% finished. Just missing a few here and but then again, maybe I'm not - they could be lurking in the still unsorted ones that I have.
Even crammed in it must have taken you a lot of Vario sheets to put all of your stamps on. After scanning for all of the last week I finally finished Russia with a whopping 603 pages scanned. Seeing as there were so many pages I had to break the thumbnail indexes into three different parts. The collection is 99.4% complete so most all of the stamps of Russia are shown except much of B.O.B. I have my B.O.B on Vario sheets will probably just leave them there.
Here are the three indexes, sorry I can't seem to figure out how to link to a page that is not a jpeg.

Very nice layout Mitch.
Yes, indeed, the Varios are pretty well stuffed!!! And I still have a bit to do - I'm anxious to finish it up and then I can actually see what holes are in there.
I've also got covers, fdcs and postcards that were legitimately used to include into my collection.
It's definitely a work in progress and will be for quite some time.
Thanks for sharing your pages!
Covers to, that's a huge undertaking, best of luck with it!
Thanks Mitch
Thanks to the picture IDs from Stampworld, I was able to complete my 1981 to 1983 (I'll finish the latter tonight) into Varios. Saved me tons of time trying to go through the IDs via Scott or SG. Just matched the pictures and voila!
I can't wait to finish sorting through my USSR and finding out what I'm missing so I can start designing my album pages
