I'm so happy that everyone has enjoyed it and it was a nice surprise for everyone. It was fun putting it together. I apologise to a few members who submitted pages that I wasn't able to use. If you submitted a page and it is not included, my apologies, when attempting to fit them into the template, they became too blurry to use. I wish I could have included more. I'm glad that I had this chance to create this edition. It makes me proud to be in a club that includes such diversity. Considering this only captures a tiny glimpse into our albums, it is exciting.
I'd love to include more pages in future editions so feel free to send them. The clearer the scan is, the more visible all the details will be.
I've omitted the names of the contributors on purpose. If you submit a page for future editions, they will remain anonymous. I would love to receive scans of early issues from any country. It would be really neat to create something using individual early stamps and covers, so please feel free to send me your jpgs via email for inclusion in another idea I have in mind. Due to the fact that many of these early issues are of high value, your privacy will be kept and contributors will not be named for safety reasons. You have my word that the only person who will know the identity of the stamp will be me. It would be very helpful to include a bit of information on the stamp/cover. Please feel free to submit as many as you wish including sets. This edition and its reception had shown to me that this other idea I have would be even more exciting!
Dear Kelly- editor extraordinaire,
Might some future editions contain particular areas of interest, based upon member requests of course, that might appeal to a smaller group's interest but be appreciated by all?
I was thinking about Ken Perry's layouts of his particular interests- he has created pages with the eye of a photographer, with balance and eye appeal for the later U.S.stamps. Wonderful to look at, but shown to very few I'm afraid. This is an unsolicited call out to my friend to share with all should it meet with your editorial objectives.
Just thinking out loud!
Best,
Dan C.
Absolutely Dan,
One of the things I keep doing is asking for recruits for the Rambler. Anything philatelic in nature is accepted.
Well, here it is at last!
I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this Special Edition of The Rambler. We hit our 2 year milestone with the previous Rambler in November and I wanted to create something that was completely different from what we usually see.
As this Edition is primarily graphics, and depending on the clarity of the original graphics, when formatting, some of the detailed writing is somewhat blurry.
The goal of this Edition is to celebrate the creativity of the Members of Stamporama.
Read The Rambler December 2015 Special Edition Here!!!
All the best to everyone.
Kelly
