Myself I use Pure Citrus for pesky self-adhesive stamps that will not soak in water.
Others have alternative methods that they use.

My first question to you would be,
are we dealing here with self-adhesives or water-activated?
Answers here will be different according to what you're type you're dealing with.

Hi Randy, yes I should have stipulated type.
Lick and stick stamps.
Fred
lindner offers gum remover, but it should be applied with care ... fugitive inks
to lift a stamp from paper and preserve gum ... PRINZ hinge remover is great
Fred,
By far, the easiest, simplest and cheapest method will always be a good soak in water for water-activated (lick-n-stick) stamp adhesive.
There are numerous chemicals on the market to lift a stamp from whatever it may be stuck to, but for lick-n-stick stamps I would ALWAYS recommend water.
UNLESS - these are MINT stamps you are dealing with and they have become adhered to something, or each other. THEN, I would recommend one of the chemical products if you are trying to save the adhesive WITH the stamp. Stamp-Lift fluid works well for this.
I'm sure others here will have other helpful suggestions as well
Randy
Hi all, I have done a search on StampoRama on a gum remover for stamps but has come up Zero.
Obviously one can use water, I know linder had a product to remove gum from stamps but their web site is garbage, even the phone number does not work.
So do I need to soak stamps in water to remove the gum or is there another product
