It would have been nice to know who some of the speakers were in that clip. But I do wonder if concentrating on a comparatively niche area of philately - one that requires a very deep pocket indeed - would attract many uncommitted viewers.
The fellow who mentioned his son's enthusiasm for basketball, and realised that 'Basketball on Stamps' was not going to interest the boy much - now I can relate to that.
Stamps as works of art would be a better way to attract people's attention, I believe. Or stamps as a window onto history. (But then I am just rehearsing my own prejudices.)

Any familiar with this "yet to be completed" documentary film on stamp collecting called "Freaks and Errors - A Rare Collection"?
This has been around for a few years (trying to raise enough money to finish the film), but seems like there's now an updated trailer.
