I have purchased stamps from the USPS both directly from the Fulfillment Center in Kansas City, and through the USPS eBay store. For some reason, I have found that purchases made through eBay take just a couple of days to arrive, while purchases made through the Fulfillment Center can take a couple of weeks.

What's interesting with the eBay USPS store is that you can see how many of each stamp has been purchased. I saw the inverted Jenny sheet and the listing shows that almost 90% of them have been sold. Now I don't know if that refers to their entire stock of the sheet, or the tens of thousands that they set aside to sell through eBay.

re: USPS Observation

I actually bought a few of the inverted Jennies from their eBay store and was amazed how quickly they arrived here in the UK; about a week if I remember correctly.

I didn't even know USPS had an eBay store! Well, I guess you learn something everyday (and today, I've learned three things here; thanks to Ningpo for other two!!).
