Dakota - For a large lot of stamps such as you mention, try scanning at 200 DPI - Then reduce the size of the image to no more than 1000 pixels wide.
I'm no expert when it comes to scanning, but that's what I do using the scanning program Irfanview.

The maximum pixel width for posting on the board is 900 wide. I would guess they are probably the same for sales.

Tim was explaining the resizing software he had installed; he was not recommending a size greater than 900 pixels wide, which is the current maximum which will display correctly. I would advise members to play it safe and use 900 pixels wide as their default.
Members: If you are concerned how your image will display, you can always use the "test" area on the discussion board to try it out.
Thanks everybody. I have it figured out.
Great! Now you're off to the races.
I cannot seem to scan images using any size of approval cards or stock sheets. I keep getting told that I have exceeded to maximum size. I would like to list Approval books.
I am scanning with a Canon copier.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do? Thanks in advance.
