Silence in the face of adversity is the father of complicity and collusion, the first cousins of conspiracy..

I came across this article on the Linns Stamp (Scott) website.

" ... Richard Stockton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was born Oct. 1, 1730, near Princeton, N.J. ..."
I was struck by the thought of all the seemingly minor details that are on stamps and sometimes ignored by collectors.

re: Richard Stockton who ???

From the article:
Richard Stockton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was born Oct. 1, 1730, near Princeton, N.J. His father was John Stockton, a prominent landowner and judge of the Court of Common Pleas who provided funding and land to help establish the College of New Jersey, which would later be known as Princeton University.

And it's only appropriate that there is a Stockton State College in New Jersey named after him!
