The Minkus Supreme Master Globals are similar, forty or fifty years and they wear where the binder rubs along the shelf when you drag them out or put them away.
good Luck with your serendipitous good fortune.

Thank You..if i were 20 years younger as my Uncle Dave used to say i would be using plastic stock pages or Steiners print your own pages instead of being a slave to a stamp album !

That's an interesting and possibly original idea. I think I may try it myself.
I have 3 Global Supreme albums but they seem to be sturdier as far as wear and tear !
While i am not ashamed of the stamps in my worldwide collection..2 or 3 of my Blue International binders were certainly in need of replacement. Well a stamp dealer once said "sooner or later everything comes around" and this was the case yesterday. A dealer who is trying to clear out his basement, stamproom and office offered my out of the blue 4 scott international binders in slip cases for 5 dollars each. My wife said "buy them all" and as usual she was correct. I was not sure about the slipcases as they might take up more room on the shelves...but with the slipcases i can put them anywhere,,not just on the shelves. Folks, the Scott Internationals were not built for the ages..the post holes in the pages are too close to the edge and will wear..luckily one of the binders had vinyl sleeves..so now i encased a couple of pages at the front and rear of the albums and am good to go !
