The 10 000 were through National Philatelic Centre in Antigonish, NS. The 20 000 were handed out at a Leafs Game to all ticket holders.

Thanks for the reply. Since they were handed out at games, I guess these were used as souvenirs, they were all canceled and not mailable postal cards.
I was hoping that Montreal would get by Tampa and New York to face Chicago in the Cup finals this past year. Chicago needs to avenge the loses in 65, 71 and 73. (smile) Maybe next year.

Two questions about this item:
1. I just saw a copy of the No.l 2002 Canada Post's Details magazine. In it there is a small blurb about the 2002 Toronto Maple Leafs Commemorative Envelope. In the article they list two numbers for Quantities
Quantity(1) 10,000 (general distribution)
Quantity(2) 20,000 (for special event)
What does this mean? What is the difference?
2. The article shows an illustration of the envelope (which by the way is quite different from what was finally issued) and it shows the envelope with a first day cancel. I have two copies of this envelope and both of them have the first day cancel. Was the envelope even available without the cancel?
Any help at all would be appreciated.
