Here are the cancels from mail received today from Canada. Shawnessy RPO cancel. Would that relate to Rail Post Office, or Rural Post Office, or something else?

RPO = Retail Postal Outlet, also RO = Retail Outlet. Those are the ones usually in drug stores, shopping centres, etc.

Good one, Ken.

Get two people together to speak about trains, and you can really turn heads from those not in the know. In fact, I put together a reefer just yesterday! I now have 18 reefers to hook together.
