Very curious. Can you identify the source; counter sheet, business sheet, booklet etc? I'm asking the question so that I could forward as much detail to a dealer who knows a lot about Machins.

Is this classified as an error, as opposed to another intentional mark for purposes of counterfeit detection? These stamps are prepared by graphic designers using large computer displays, and the omission or erasure of the letter leaves an obvious blank, which would seem impossible for anyone involved in production to miss. I see it as a purposeful omission. If so, it would be a variant of interest to the specialist, but is unlikely to be a rare error that would significantly increase value.
