I love the juxtaposition of the giant hand and the tractor. I just start laughing when I see this stamp. It's so absurd!

Thanks GIANT HAND for getting rid of that factory!! Whew!

The semi-postal stamp was issued for agricultural reforms. The image is symbolism for agriculture supporting industry.

It's a bizarre design, isn't it? The artist has applied a blunt literalism to what was intended as a symbolic image. Maybe this was his interpretation of 'socialist realism'? The idea of agriculture supporting industry is presumably quite common - it'd be interesting to look out some rather more successful efforts.

Some of the older Americans will remember a laundry soap so strong that, in its TeeVee commercial, a giant fist burst up out of the clothes washing machine.

Great stamp!
