i guess i am asking myself can i create an outstanding collection for its own sake..not thinking about the cost or what material reward it might bring someone in the future. Just a thought,my wife thinks i am too cheap..no guts !

re: A noble thing to create something pleasing to the eye !

I stay on a budget, but I always find great deals on lots at my club and on ebay. Best advice given to me: collect what you like! I would add: spend what you are comfortable with. I put my "investment" money into a 401k and it pays off. But I still love to add to my collection as I have for 45 years! Thom

I can relate for sure..my collecting interests are pretty spread out..the worldwide collection has a mind of its own..the covers need discipline to look sharp. As their father i am responsible .
