The improper wiping causes large very light smears/blotches of blue, most noticeable on the margins -- giving the appearance of "bluish paper" from the front. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up well on most pictures that I've seen, and I don't have a stamp to scan for you. Maybe another member can provide a good pic.
I just emailed you a link to a page showing a picture of 926i. I didn't post the link, because it is a sales site. The picture is not that good, but should give you a rough idea of what the bluish colored paper surface will look like.
Can some helpful soul please tell me what the difference is between these two stamps? The catalogue says 'improper wiping' and I'm unsure exactly what that might mean and how I might identify it. Thanks so much for any help :-).
