There is one that specializes in that material. I don't remember its name right now. I've been with two young grandsons all day, and my mind right now is mush.

They have a good listing of specific auction houses & many other areas of interest for the China/HK collector
I believe that Michael Rogers used to be the "go to" auction house for Asian philately. He has merged with Kelleher and the firm is now named Kelleher & Rogers.
I have not had any dealings with anyone involved in either firm and the I would take the usual precautions and seek advice from someone who has had dealings prior to making any commitments.
Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of. I was searching for them on the internet.
Zurich Asia
Inter Asia
Check them out as Webpaper advised. Also check with the American Stamp Dealer's Association and the American Philatelic Society for references.
I know several people who've sold early Japan material through Dynasty Auctions in Hong Kong. Those sales were in the 7-figures each.
Dynasty is now Kelleher, plus it has Michael Rogers with it now (which is where I would've gone in the past), so that's some anecdotal evidence to support them. (I have no connection with them whatsoever.)
Thanks for all of the replies. I'll continue with the research of those recommended. Have a great day!
Sandafayre in the UK has a current auction with some treaty port items which you may wish to look at, our of my pocket though. here is the link:-

Be aware they do charge a buyers premium and have a minimum of around 75% of valuation as a bid.

Thanks, I'm actually looking at an auction house for selling, not purchasing.
Has anyone dealt with "INTERAISIA AUCTIONS? http://www.interasia-auctions.com/cgi-bin/home.php
Thanks for the advice.
I ended up using John Bull in Hong Kong with amazing results (2 - 4 x the estimate).
That gave me enough to finally launch my online store.

I sent them all to HK. They did the rest.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good auction house for high value China/HK stamps and covers?
Thanks!
