Jacques.

Hi everyone;
@ John & Everyone;
I used to use these for many years, but have since memorized most of the stamp inscriptions.
Here is an on-line stamp identifier, and it includes foreign alphabets including Cyrilic
(Russian, Bulgarian etc.) It includes not only country names but also currency spellings as
further tips. I still use this one from time-to-time!
http://www.iswsc.org/iswsc_identifier.html
Another on is this:
http://www.stampmasteralbum.com/ForeignCountryIdentifierHome.htm
When you scroll down you will find six options:
1) Alphabetical listed by country index
2) Keyword Index Alphabetical Index
3) Non-English Lettering Index
4) Non-English Overprint Index
5) Symbol Index
6) No Country Name Index
I find this index very useful and informative. I hope it can be of use to everyone else here
as well. They both load very fast, even on dial-up!
Just hunkerin' down....

Both Stamp Identifier links cited by TuskenRaider are now in our Links section ("2nd Page" category). Thanks, Ken.
I need Scott# and description. I cannot seem to find this in my catalogs.
Hi John,
This is Scott #1709 / SG 1843 issued in 1954 to commemorate 300 years of union between Russia and Ukraine.
That is a bit ironic given the current situation.
vic
It is indeed!
In 1954 to commemorate the 300 years Crimea was made part of Ukraine...
I need Scott# of above sheet. Thanks.
