That was my initial thought. However, any forger would have to work full time for a long time to recoup his money with this hand stamp. It is the most often seen paquebot type. I'm pretty sure I have a couple of covers from the 1960's with this marking.
Now if it had been a treaty port hand stamp, well that would be a worry!
