"...and i fill them right up with stamps and covers. They actually work pretty good because i can store them 4 or 5 high on my desk . The only problem is the one i need at the time is usually on the bottom. "
Sounds about right ! Some might say "get a life" but i realize now that health and contentment are the treasures of life.and the little stamps bring me contentment !

mine are still on the floor..they take a lot of shelf space..the one i need is ALWAYS on the bottom !
"Some might say "get a life""
Interesting commentary, Guthrum. Google n-gram indicates that "Get a life" was first used in books in the mid-1960s (predictably) but didn't really take off until the late 1980s.

I heard it once or twice on T.V. it stuck in my memory bank !! I am certainly not a conspicuous consumer..35 bucks gas for the truck..15 dollars a week or so on stamps..thats about all i need !
Phil, how ever do you get by on only $15 per week for stamps???

My wife spends the rest...its strange i have no budget..but i keep track every year of what i spend on stamps and it seems to be about the same within a hundred dollars every year !

BeeSee You mock me !

And some might find their nose bent double.
Admittedly I am not doing that much these day, but I have had a life, a hell of a life, at that. I suppose there are a few that have done the things that I have or better. But I don't think I'd trade my adventures for those of many others.
And the best part is I'm ashamed of almost nothing. I'd do it all again if I could.
Some of us are never bored..if nothing else is going on i always have stamps and covers nearby to sort. When my wife goes to Joanne Fabrics or Michaels she will sometimes bring a pack of three 13x14 x 3 plastic storage boxes and i fill them right up with stamps and covers. They actually work pretty good because i can store them 4 or 5 high on my desk . The only problem is the one i need at the time is usually on the bottom.
re: i sort therefore i am !
