This seems like a very stupid question, but does that mean a "relief break" is the loss of the space in between the two characters? Or are you showing us a lack of relief break and it the space between the two characters?

Not a dumb question at all (at least if it is, I was asking myself the same dumb question). However, I eventually answered myself by studying the images a little closer. Were all 3 images blown up equally and shown side by side by side, you could see the difference immediately. The last enlargement is the example sans a relief break. The first 2 examples (in the first post in this thread) clearly show the relief breaks.

Hi Everyone;
@ David;
After looking a second and third time, I now can see the difference between the two end
images and the middle image. I have a mess of these Franklins as duplicates, including
one with a large brain tumor on the poor fellow's forehead. He appears to be in terrible pain.
If I sort thru, say a hundred of these would I possibly find one? Or are they much rarer than that?
Keep on sortin'....

Thank you! I think I've got it now!
David,
God Bless, but I can't make out any differences. That would be entirely due to my poor eyesight currently, and I will re-evaluate once my cataract surgeries are well enough healed and my new eyeglasses are ready. Untill then though, could you post more of the reentries you mentioned, along with any other oddities that you clearly have explored.
Thanks,
Dan C.
