Nice. I like the Jul. 26, 1898 shield with the vertical bars.
I only have two on document:
[This is a post I made on another board, but since the topic of shield cancels came up, I thought I'd repost it here.]
Marvels' The Cancels of S.H.I.E.L.D.... coming soon to a theatre near you!
Seriously though, shield revenue cancels are way cool from an aesthetic perspective. Here are examples of the various types in my collection.
This one, Thomas N. Dale & Co., is one that I buy whenever I see one. I'm trying to find it on as many different denominations/types as I can. I just love both the shield and the stylized TND monogram. FYI, the other cancels I'm trying to accumulate on different denominations is the SdeV Simon de Visser single-line cancel, and the Brady's Bend Iron Co. printed circular cancel (looks like a handstamp, but is actually printed).
If anyone can attribute these next 2 cancels, I'd love to hear about it. I'm stumped.
And my most recent acquisition, which is not only very scarce, but a superb strike.
