Wow that brings back memories to my first album, which I wish I still had. It was a Harris softcover Explorer album, late 1960's.

I recently flipped through my childhood stamp album. In all it's glory, behold the Hygrade Universe, 2-post sold through Kay Bee toy stores.
I was so excited when I received this album; it was a sure upgrade from my 100 page bound soft back version.
I remember the day I received those Greece approvals in the mail. It's funny but as I look at these pages I remember the taste of those green Dennison hinges....also sold at Kaybee for 99cents/pack!
Oh no! I think a copy of Stamp magazine in 1986 told me to mount all "Mint never-hinged" stamps!! Of course I had to comply. Note my...er... "impressive" mounting skills of these common Austria stamps.
I always loved China stamps. I wished I had focused a little more on this collecting area! Look at the Asian countries now.
Interesting - I was already spotting interesting postmarks as a young collector. Dang, I may need to snag that stamp on piece!
